Ariah Lester (Netherlands)
ARIAH LESTER (Lester Arias) started out as a dancer and choreographer and has now added vocals with synthesizers and electronics. His performances are full of emotion, his voice cannot be placed with a sex, not male, not female. Or both.
ARIAH hails from what is called the most dangerous city in the world, Caracas, Venezuela, and has migrated to Amsterdam. In his work, his tendency to be unable or unwilling to ground explores the world in between, dislocations and migrations. His performances are both sensitive and expressive. And that voice. That voice! Fortunately, ARIAH has expanded its repertoire to include vocals.
