Hiroaki Umeda (Japan)
Hiroaki Umeda was born in Japan in 1977 and lives and works in Tokio. He tours all over the world with his abstract works of art. He is the choreographer and the dancer, designs the sound and creates strong, often extreme images with light and video.
He is very precise, in his choice of instruments as well as during the get in. Have a look at the videos and pictures and you understand why . The smallest mistake in the focus of spotlights or beamers immediately strikes the eye and destroys the impact of the piece.
He usually tours on his own, directing local technicians during the get in. Sometimes he even manages to operate lighting, sound and/or video with his laptop during the show. Technical riders of the different pieces can be downloaded from his web site.
