Liquid Loft / Chris Haring (Austria) - Deep Dish

Chris Haring and visual artist Michel Blazy show a clever mixture of dance theater and live cinema with the eccentric performance Deep Dish. On stage we see an exuberant dinner for four, which gets more and more grim as the evening wears on. With the use of a compact camera, operated live by the performers, a surrealistic microcosm comes directly to life; the vegetarian food on the table forms a proliferation of tentacles, protuberances, and rotten parts that enclose the four friends. The total mage is breathtakingly beautiful, but also frightening; the inevitable decay becomes very visible indeed.
