Dance Company Nanine Linning (Netherlands) - Endless Song of Silence

"Endless Song of Silence" is an adaptation of the audience hit Nanine Linning created in 2009 and brought the audience to tears. She has deepened and expanded the intimate duet about love, hope and the irrevocable farewell.

The moving third symphony of Gorecki in combination with film projections and live cameras form the backdrop for the fierce struggle of the ten dancers to be one together. The different stages of saying goodbye can be felt in three parts, followed by deafening silence.

Central is the brutal theatrical discovery of a hidden treadmill. Linning uses that band as a symbol for the ticking of time. Passionately, the dancers allow themselves to be carried away, or, on the contrary, to continue in the opposite direction. Focused on a joint future. The tortured hugs, however, underline that it will never come.

For this new adaptation, Nanine Linning works together with the famous Russian fashion designer Irina Shaposhnikova for the costumes and video projections by multimedia artist Roger Muskee.
