GRIP - Jan Martens (Netherlands) - Rule of Three

RULE OF THREE is based on our ability to quickly 'zap' from one impression to another. The performance is a danced performance that is the middle between concert and story bundle. It is a collection of short stories that are written with bodies, light, music, costumes and text. An untamed meditation that - like our time - is based on contradictions: between stillness and explosion, between precision and intuition, between heart and reason.

For RULE OF THREE, Jan Martens collaborates with the American producer / drummer NAH who mixes live and programmed drums with found sounds and manipulated samples. The performers enter into a dialogue with NAH's eclectic music composition on stage and drive the sensory stimulation ever further.
