São Paulo Companhia de Dança (Brazil) - The Seasons, Firebird en Melhor Unica Dia

The Seasons
Choreography: Édouard Lock (MAR)
The widely acclaimed founder of La La Human Steps, Édouard Lock, has re-edited Vivaldi's Four Seasons. In 12 parts representing the 12 months of the year, he subjects 12 dancers to the dizzying speed and extreme precision of his lively, angular and undulating movement language. With strong light-dark contrasts, Lock is able to accentuate the impact of fast and slow motion effects in a special way.

Firebird
Choreography: Marco Goecke (DUI)
Marco Goecke made his pas de deux Firebird on the eponymous music by Igor Stravinski. The work premiered in the Theater aan het Vrijthof in 2010 and now returns via the Brazil to the Dutch stages: a meeting between a human and a bird. A bird that dances, a man who flies.

Melhor Unica Dia
Choreography: Henrique Rodovalho (BRA)
The Brazilian Henrique Rodovalho is artistic director of Quasar Dance Company. For São Paulo Companhia de Dança he made the third part of this Triple Bill as a guest choreographer: Melhor Unica Dia. In our country, Rodovalho made the performance Sob a pele / Onderhuids for the Nederlands Dans Theater.
