The Young@Heart Chorus (United States) - This is Getting Old
A world class chorus of people over eighty from Massachusetts, United States. Known from the award-winning documentary Young at Heart by Stephen Walker. The repertoire consists of classics and oldies, but also Sonic Youth has no secrets for these oldies.
The Young @ Heart choir exists since 1982, but none of the original members are still alive; all singers are past retirement age. But just as easily the choir performs a classic song such as Should I Stay or Should I Go by The Clash. The level of Young @ Heart is so high that the choir travels all around the world. They tour for the first time in the Netherlands in 2013.
