Akram Khan is the most successful English choreographer of his generation. His innovative combination of western modern dance and traditional Indian kathak made him world famous.
He regularly works together with other great artists like dancer and choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, actress Juliette Binoche and prima ballerina Sylvie Guillem.
The sets are usually compact, because the company travels all over the world and has no money for extra cargo. The lighting plots, on the contrary, are always demanding and spectacular
