Arkadi Zaides (Israel)
The ex-dancer of the Batsheva Dance Company debuted in 2004 as a choreographer. His work is deeply rooted in the situation of his homeland. His dance language is physical, intense and personal. His piece Quiet - played worldwide with great success - was about the misunderstanding between Arabs and Jews in Gaza. "A whipping, beating and offensive work of art." (Dance Magazine New York)
