CiRQuE inExTRéMiSTE (France)
When Bertrand Landhauser and Yann Ecauvre found the circus As Pa Maioun in 1998, it included 6 people, with a common passion for street performance and willingness to mix juggling, music and acrobatics.
In 2001, the company migrates to new land: they meet with François Bedel, spiritual father of CiRQuE inExTRéMiSTE!
The company then acquires their first tent which allows them to accommodate their own shows, and to offer introductory workshops to circus arts.
In 2004, they get to know NATYA, dance company from Aix. They create "Sand and wind", an aerial choreography: a journey between heaven and earth .
Aerial arts will remain the core of their work, Yann Ecauvres solo "Inextremiste" staged a delirious acrobatic terrorist. For the creation "Extrêmités" the company chooses to change its name to CiRQuE inExTRéMiSTE.
