Compagnie Par Terre | Anne Nguyen (France)
The French choreographer Anne Nguyen has a background in break dance and hip hop. You can see that clearly in her work, in which she combines modern dance with abstract elements from the martial arts. I find that a nice description of the French newspaper Libération, which characterizes her work as Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker's style b-boying or breakdance according to the concept of William Forsythe, and performed with great precision. Sometimes the movements are almost in slow motion, which makes them even more impressive.
