Lisi Estaràs & Ido Batash (Argentina)
When she began her dance training, the Argentine Estaràs tried to combine it with her Social Studies training. When that proved impossible, she chose dance. Her study background, however, is reflected in her performances, which are often about the place of the individual in contemporary society. For a number of years following her studies, Estaràs danced at world famous companies and choreographers: Batsheva Dance Company, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and les ballet C de la B. In the latter group she took her first steps as a choreographer. She was soon invited by companies and choreographers for (co) creations all over Europe.
With dancer/choreographer Ido Batash, she has a Jewish background in common.
