Pilobolus Dance Theatre (United States) - Shadowland
'Shadowland' was created a few years ago for the Oscar ceremony. It became an international theatrical sensation that can best be described as a mix of shadow play, dance, circus and concert. The manner in which the bodies of the performers transform into objects and imaginative formations behind a backlit screen is breathtaking. Shadows change into cars, elephants, opening flowers and other beautiful creations. In front of the screen as well as behind it the company tells the story of a girl who ends up in a world full of bizarre landscapes and surreal situations.
