Alias / Guilherme Botelho (Switzerland) - Sideways Rain
Guilherme Botelho opened the Springdance festival in 2011 with this performance. A fascinating human whirlpool that was received very enthusiastically. Continuously the dancers cross from left to right: rolling, crawling, walking, falling - all ways of crossing over are used. You can see anything in it (evolution, your own life ...) but you don't need to.
In the final scene, the dancers pull a few hundred rubber bands across the scene. That is what the flats on the side are for.
