Louise Lecavalier (Canada) - So Blue
In 2012 Louise Lecavalier visited Julidans the diptych Children (choreography Nigel Charnock) and A Few Minutes of Lock (choreography Édouard Lock) . With So Blue (2012), she ventured for the first time on a self-choreographed piece for herself and dancer Frederic Tavernini. She lets the body speak uncensored. As she describes it: "I wanted to let the body say anything it wanted; I wanted to release it, to raise rising something pure and authentic from the profusion of spontaneous movements. "
The result is an intense, rough, obsessive and mysterious dance piece to rhythmic music that emphasizes the instinctive nature of the movements.
