INTIMO TEATRO ITINERANTE / Fernando Rubio (Argentina) - You can leave what you want
The world is changing in a senseless, gray mush when a man loses his family in a car accident. To make his grief somewhat manageable and to build and maintain his memories, he begins to write them down on the clothes of his deceased loved ones. His environment becomes a mass of brightly colored jackets, pants, skirts, blouses and dresses. This sprawling collection of ordinary garments will become an increasingly important social meaning in his life and becomes his lifeline, his connection with reality and the outside world. Even with strangers and also with the viewer, who is invited to enter the floor with used textiles and to take place between and on the personal wardrobe of total strangers.
You can leave what you want is a mix between art, literature, architecture, theater and performance. As a large part of his work, the document can be played both in the theater and on location. Rubio experiments not only with the relationship between actors and spectators, but plays also with the spatial aspect.
