Eastman (Belgium)

After working for many years with production companies like Les Ballets C de la B, Het Toneelhuis and Sadler's Wells, the Belgian/Moroccan choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui (1976) founded his own company: Eastman.

Rien de Rien, on tour in The Netherlands in 2002, made Larbi world famous. In 1995 he'd already won a major award with Iets op Bach. After these pieces many more followed, all successful creations that toured The Netherlands: d'Avant (2002), Foi (2003), Zero Degrees (2005, with Akram Khan), and Myth, Origine and Sutra (allen 2008). Dunas was one of the highlights of Julidans 2010.
