Fitri Setyaningsih (Indonesia)
Born in 1978, lives and works in Jogjakarta. Fitri Setyaningsih is a dancer, choreographer and performance artist. She studied at the Indonesian Art Institute (STSI) Surakarta. Fitri Setyaningsih has participated in many dance performances as a dancer as well as a choreographer and director. Her works are mostly involved with her observation of social phenomenon. She is working with untrained dancers and explores the relationship of the body with the everyday objects which surround the body. Over the past few years, Fitri Setyaningsih's works have been crossing the border between performing art and performance in a visual art context.
