Kobalt Works (Germany)
Fascinated by other cultures the German choreographer established in Brussels, Arco Renz (1980), travels quite often around the world, mostly to Asia, to collaborate with artists over there. The traditional dance theater inspires him while creating his own work. For Dreamlands (Julidans 2003) he drew inspiration from the traditional Balinese dance and the puppet show tradition, what came along among other things in the shadow play. In his show Crack (2011, with Amrita Performing Arts) he denounces the increasing individualization of a new generation of young Cambodians.
