NeoArctici takes place in the Anthropocene, a new geological era that is characterized by the disturbance of the ecosystem by the actions of man. Man has become a natural force responsible for rapid and violent changes to the planet. Climate change, erosion, urbanization, digitization and the extinction of biological species all point to the dawning of a new era. A cruise ship with ecotourists has left, loaded with equipment to map these changes, but also the wonders of nature. Many will still follow, because the end of time is in sight.
Twelve singers sing, whisper and shout words, which merge into rhythmic, repetitive, hammering soundscapes. Rhythmic music is combined with experimental electronic music, melodies appear and disappear in a landscape of light and colors, films and projections. A landscape in constant change.
