Alfonso Aroca Quintet (Spain) - Orilla del Mundo
Alfonso Aroca surrounds himself with a group of young, first-class musicians who push the flamenco tradition to the limits. With dancer Abel Harana as the energetic center point who adds sharp rhythmic accents to the beautiful harmonies and melodies of Aroca. Orilla del Mundo (World Coast) is his debut album which he will present at the festival. From the ports of Cadiz Aroca and his group travel to Africa, America and the Orient and return to 'his coast' in Andalusia filled with music. With Alfonso Aroca the flamenco piano gets a fresh new impetus and a solid jazzy touch.
