Rabih Mroué (Lebanon) - Riding on a Cloud
In Riding on a Cloud discoveres Rabih Mroué again the way we shape the stories from our (war) past today. The title of this new show is based on the poetry of his younger brother Yasser, who was shot in the head by a sniper during the civil war. Miraculously, the damage was limited: he suffers from aphasia and has trouble with pronunciation. Mroué interweaves the story of Yasser, who will recite his poetry, with fantasies and thoughts about language, life and death. As always film and video, both existing and original, are integral part of this intimate performance.
