Max / Reza Servati (Iran (Islamic Republic of)) - Strange Creatures
Reza Servati created a grotesque and comical theater performance with symbolic scenes of murder, crucifixion, Russian roulette, and conquest. He proceeded from a graphic image: people with umbrellas stand around a corpse. From the air it looks like a turtle that sticks its head out. It doesn’t want to die… This is the story of some characters that gradually lose their identity, influenced by unknown forces they metamorphose into strange creatures.
According to Servati, people are doomed to reliving their lives and experiencing it in repetition. With this performance he takes you on a new, perhaps unknown experience.
