Spectacular and poetic, innovative and nostalgic, in The Roots we see hip hop at its best! The Roots is a celebration of the power and inventiveness of hip hop. Originated in the streets of New York and developed into a full-fledged art form that has been playing the stages of the world for years.
 
Hip hop has always been inspired by skaters, mime and contemporary dance. By choosing The Roots for eleven dancers who come from a pure hip hop tradition, choreographer Kader Attou shows an amazing diversity of movement forms. Slow motion alternates with superfast footwork and we see spectacular acrobatics, almost stunt work!
