BalletBoyz (United Kingdom) - The Talent
Adam, Anthony, Ed, Jesús, Kai, Leon, Matt, Miguel and Taylor are the remarkable dancers who were handpicked from open auditions by Balletboyz, to star in this explosive feast of live dance fused with film and behind-the-scenes footage.
The Talent is a mixed programme of three works that show off the full range of these exceptional dancers. The evening will feature Paul Roberts’ Alpha and one of Balletboyz’ signature pieces, Russel Maliphant’s Torsion, re-worked as a thrilling sextet. Completing the line-up will be a brand new commission by Czech choreographer Jarek Cemerek.
Award-winning former lead dancers for The Royal Ballet, Michael Nunn and William Trevitt have had a dramatic impact on the British dance scene since they formed Balletboyz in 2001. With The Talent, they pass the baton on to a new generation in an evening of enthralling dance.
