Background – industrial psychology

Prologue

A degree in industrial psychology, 10 years of work experience in stagecraft, and a passion for theatre motivate me. These are the three threads in my life that converge in TOT, the company that I founded in 2002.

During my studies, I researched political decision-making and the groupthink theory by Irving Janis. I also became a social skills trainer and chose modules like conflict management and group dynamics.

Studying

In addition to industrial psychology, I studied  theatre science at the University of Utrecht where, after the first year, I opted for subjects covering dance and art theory. During my career I have broadened my knowledge in management, theatre and computer science by taking a range of courses, such as time management, project work, marketing, negotiation skills, rigging and safety, as well as computer courses such as Advanced Excel, MS Access, Databases, SQL, HTML, MS Visio and Visual Basic. » read on about Background – industrial psychology

Vision – The technological, organisational and events centre point

The heartbeat of TOT

The technological, organisational and events centre point. All interests on the same page. Clear proposals, practical interventions and bold actions: this is where the strength of TOT lies, as well as its core services.

The broad outlines and detail

Klassiek concert

The broad outlines are important, but the smallest details are too. Take a concert, for example. The musicians and the visitors must have a fantastic evening, which is only possible if the technology is scheduled properly. However, the ambience in the foyer, the cloakroom attendant’s smile and the ease of ordering on the website play just as important a role. » read on about Vision – The technological, organisational and events centre point

Tours – At home and abroad

A passion for theatre at work

TOT specialises in technical production of international touring companies in the Netherlands and Belgium. Dance, musical theatre and opera are TOT’s best-loved genres. » read on about Tours – At home and abroad

International festivals – the centre point

All interests on the same page

TOT has been tried and tested in coordinating international festivals. A festival demands everything that preparing for a tour does, but in a more condensed format. » read on about International festivals – the centre point
