In this opening performance of the V Dutch Flamenco Biennale dancer and choreographer Belén Maya invites us to a party. A feast of flamenco where life is celebrated with dancing, singing, and guitar. And the hostess pulls out, her guests are all artists of stature who share her personal flamenco world with quiet moments and happy discharges, like life itself.
Traditionally, the V Dutch Flamenco Biennale opens in Rotterdam. The Rotterdamse Schouwburg bustles with contemporary flamenco during our fifth anniversary celebratory edition. The hall of the theater will again be the scene for spectacular pre-and after-parties and a public clapping workshop for everyone!
